In 2018 the midterm voter turnout, at 50.3 percent nationwide, was the highest it has been in over 100 years, since 1914. Voter turnout saw its largest increase over a prior midterm in U.S. history. But despite the nationwide surge, vast turnout differences between states remain. Election policies that made it harder or easier to vote were a major factor in those turnout differences, even more than political competition. These findings are detailed in the new “America Goes to the Polls” report by Nonprofit VOTE and the U.S. Elections Project.

Join Nonprofit VOTE for this deep dive into how turnout varied between states, explore which policies are impacting turnout, and why you may want to advocate for election reforms in your state. Experts on voter turnout and policies will be on hand to present their views and answer audience questions in this free, one hour webinar.
