American giving has hovered around 2% of GDP since the late 1970s. Hope Neighbor of Camber Collective will present her firm’s recent Money for Good ($FG) 2015 research, which explores why American giving is stuck and what we can do about it—as individual organizations and as a sector. Using best-in-class customer insights methods, the report is based on extensive literature review, in-depth interviews, focus groups, a nationwide 3,000 person survey, and advanced statistics to derive segments of donors with distinct needs, attitudes, and behaviors around giving.
Hope will be joined by Alison Carlman of GlobalGiving. Alison will share GlobalGiving’s experience using the Camber donor segmentation to understand GlobalGiving’s donors, and discuss how different types of organizations might think about using the $FG research in their own work, to change Americans’ giving behavior.
In this webinar, GuideStar will provide insight into:
• why giving patterns are static today
• what key levers for driving change in giving behavior are
• initial ideas on how organizations interested in strengthening donor behavior can use $FG results
