Difficult Discussion: New Americans and Nonprofits
The Minnesota Council of Nonprofits is presenting a series of “Difficult Discussions” workshops, meant to provide a safe, confidential place to have open and honest discussions of important issues.
Its first “Difficult Discussion” is New Americans and nonprofits, facilitated by Jessica Thomasson, President of Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota. Some areas covered in the discussion include;
• Who are the New Americans?
• Many nonprofits employ New Americans, and
• Many nonprofits serve New Americans.
