FM Area Foundation, Fargo

This free workshop is hosted by the Nonprofits Assistance Fund and CliftonLarsonAllen LLP. You need to provide your organization’s board of directors with the most relevant and accurate information in order for them to govern the organization. Not only that, you may also need to build their knowledge and understanding of nonprofit finance so that they can provide solid fiscal oversight. The first portion of this workshop will help you build your board’s fiscal effectiveness.

The frequency and size of theft in the workplace is on the rise—specifically as they relate to the cash collections, cash disbursements, and investing functions. The second portion of this session will teach you to identify and understand fraud factors and give you real life examples of theft occurring in all sizes of nonprofits. You will leave with tips to help detect the unthinkable, theft within your organization.
