The North Dakota Association of Nonprofit Organizations (NDANO) is in partnership with First Nonprofit Group, An AmTrust Financial Company (FNG), to provide our members and other nonprofits with turnkey solutions to save on their unemployment insurance costs. FNG covers over 1,600 nonprofit employers across the country. Nonprofits typically have fewer unemployment claims than the private sector; therefore, they often subsidize the state unemployment fund by paying more than necessary. Federal and state laws allow 501(c)(3) organizations to reimburse, rather than pay the unemployment insurance tax in advance of having actual claims. First Nonprofit Group has several unemployment programs that can save your nonprofit 40% - 60% on state unemployment taxes.
